West Coast IPA Batch #458 builds on the last couple of batches with a new hop: Tangier. Brewed on a crisp pilsner malt base and hopped with Simcoe, Citra, and Motueka, this batch leans further into Tangier, a hop we’re excited to get our hands on. Originating from Segal Ranch Hop Farm’s open-pollination nursery in the Pacific Northwest, Tangier brings a bright orange citrus character. Brewmaster Victor connected with his friend John Segal to source a select amount, which we’re continuing to use in the dry hop alongside Simcoe over the next few batches. Our brew team loves the way Tangier shows up on the nose. For Giezi, it’s tangerine Cuties, and for Joseph, it’s a reminder of his childhood favorite Hi-C flavor: Ecto Cooler.
